Five individuals, including two siblings, tragically lost their lives when their vehicle caught fire after plunging off the Hazara Motorway in the early hours of Sunday in Haripur. The authorities at Ghazi police station reported that all passengers, including the driver, perished instantly, leaving no chance for a rescue operation to be initiated. Regrettably, the bodies were severely burnt, making identification impossible. It was revealed that the group was en route from Peshawar to Naran to commemorate Independence Day when this devastating accident occurred. The Ghazi police were alerted about the incident near Khoi Darra village in the Kala Katha region of Ghazi tehsil at approximately 1am on Sunday. The vehicle veered into a ravine after one of its front tires burst, subsequently catching fire. Promptly, rescue personnel and law enforcement retrieved the charred remains of the five victims from the vehicle and transported them to the Haripur Trauma Centre. Authorities, along with medical professionals, identified the deceased as Wajid Salim, who was driving the car, his brother Shoaib, Fida Mohammad, Iftikhar alias Babu, and Rehmatullah.
