A single-vehicle crash in Pierce County resulted in one person being injured. The incident occurred on US Highway 63 near 825th Street in the Town of Trenton. A 64-year-old woman from Stewartville, Minn. was driving southbound when her SUV was struck by a piece of wood from a trailer being pulled by an unidentified northbound vehicle. The passenger, a 60-year-old woman from Rochester, Minn., was taken to Mayo Hospital Red Wing with undisclosed injuries. The driver was unharmed. WEAU Staff reported

TRENTON, Wis. (WEAU) – A single-vehicle collision in Pierce County has resulted in injuries to one individual. The incident occurred on August 12, 2023, at approximately 1:20 p.m. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding the crash, which took place on US Highway 63 near 825th Street in the Town of Trenton.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, an SUV driven by a 64-year-old woman from Stewartville, Minn., was traveling southbound on US Highway 63 when it was struck by a fragment of wood that had dislodged from a trailer being towed by an unidentified northbound vehicle.

Emergency personnel from the Red Wing Fire Department transported a 60-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the SUV and hails from Rochester, Minn., to Mayo Hospital Red Wing. The extent of her injuries remains undetermined at this time.

Fortunately, the driver of the SUV did not sustain any injuries as a result of the collision..
