Perry for a 29-yard touchdown pass, while seasoned kicker Wil Lutz contributed a 36-yard field goal. Perry, a promising newcomer from Wake Forest, had an impressive first half, amassing six receptions for 70 yards. Winston, displaying remarkable accuracy, completed 11 of 13 passes for 92 yards and the aforementioned touchdown.

In the second quarter, the Chiefs managed to score on a 1-yard pass from backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert to wide receiver Richie James with 8:26 remaining. Subsequently, several of the Saints’ defensive starters chose to exit the game after the second drive.

During the latter stages of the second quarter, New Orleans safety Ugo Amadi intercepted reserve quarterback Shane Buechele, further adding to the Saints’ dominance.

It is worth noting that certain players were not able to participate in the game due to various injuries.
