In a harrowing incident that has shocked the local community, the lifeless body of a 12-year-old student was discovered with his head severed in a hostel room at Darus Salam Hafizia Madrasa in Assam’s Cachar district on Sunday morning. The victim, identified as Rabijul Hussain, met a tragic end in what appears to be an act of extreme violence.
The distressing event unfolded at the Dholai-based Madrasa, where the student had retired to his room after dinner. However, the following morning would bring a horrifying revelation. A teacher entered the room to awaken the students for their morning prayers and was met with a scene of horror – the beheaded body of Rabijul Hussain lying on the floor.
Reacting swiftly to the grave situation, Madrasa authorities immediately notified the local police in Dholai. As part of the ongoing investigation, around 20 fellow students who shared the hostel room with the deceased and three teachers from the Madrasa were taken into custody for questioning. However, the motive and perpetrators behind this gruesome act remain unknown, leaving the local community in a state of profound distress.
