A fatal accident occurred in Ventura County on Friday night, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to five others. The California Highway Patrol received a report of a collision on SR-1, just south of Las Posas Road, at approximately 4:35 p.m. The individual who was killed was driving a white 2022 BMW, while the other victims were identified as residents of Oxnard. They included two men in a 2012 Ford truck, aged 34 and 33, and a 30-year-old man, 28-year-old woman, and 23-year-old woman in a 2019 Honda.

The accident occurred when the BMW crossed over solid double yellow lines into the northbound lanes, crashing head-on into the Ford truck. The impact caused the truck to be pushed into the southbound lanes, resulting in a collision with the oncoming Honda. Sadly, the driver of the BMW was pronounced dead at the scene. One victim in the truck suffered lacerations, while two passengers in the Honda experienced seatbelt abrasions.
