The California Highway Patrol received a report of a collision on SR-1, just south of Las Posas Road, at approximately 4:35 p.m. The individual who was killed was driving a white 2022 BMW, while the other victims were identified as residents of Oxnard. They included two men in a 2012 Ford truck, aged 34 and 33, and a 30-year-old man, 28-year-old woman, and 23-year-old woman in a 2019 Honda.
The accident occurred when the BMW crossed over solid double yellow lines into the northbound lanes, crashing head-on into the Ford truck. The impact caused the truck to be pushed into the southbound lanes, resulting in a collision with the oncoming Honda. Sadly, the driver of the BMW was pronounced dead at the scene.
