Two women were taken into custody in North Memphis after they allegedly stole from a business and assaulted the store owner. Police were called to the scene of a fight involving multiple suspects at the Exxon on Jackson Avenue. One of the suspects, D’Andria Bruce, physically attacked the store owner by punching him in the face. As officers tried to detain Bruce, another suspect, Ti’Miesha Kirby, attempted to pull her away from the police. Kirby ignored commands to back away and even tried to jump on an officer before she was apprehended. The store owner reported that several female suspects entered the Exxon, ordered food, and then tried to leave without paying. When confronted by store employees, a physical altercation ensued. The store owner estimated the value of the stolen items to be around $200, and he also mentioned that Bruce and Kirby had stolen approximately $100 worth of merchandise the day before. The fight with the employees resulted in about $200 worth of damage to the store. Both suspects were treated at Regional One before being transported to Jail East. Bruce was charged with assault, theft, and vandalism, while Kirby faced charges of assault, vandalism, disorderly conduct, and theft. Bruce was released on her own recognizance, while Kirby’s bond was set at $1,000. They are scheduled to appear in court on Monday..
