Two adolescents have been accused of the crime of murder in connection with a fatal stabbing incident that occurred in Finchley. The incident took place on August 7, when the police received a distress call regarding a stabbing on Regent’s Park Road, near the junction with Lichfield Grove, at approximately 9:40 pm. Tragically, an 18-year-old male victim named Yusuf Mohamoud from Enfield was discovered at the scene with severe injuries and succumbed to them. The investigation into this heinous act has progressed significantly, resulting in the charging of two 15-year-old individuals, who were scheduled to appear in court on Saturday at Willesden Youth Court.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Rawlinson, leading the investigation, expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far but emphasized that the inquiry is ongoing, with the search for a third suspect still underway. He urged anyone who was present in the vicinity of Regent’s Park Road, particularly between 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm on August 7, and witnessed the events leading up to Yusuf’s attack, to come forward and assist with the investigation. The collaboration of the public is crucial in ensuring that Yusuf’s family obtains the justice they deserve.
