Florida Highway Patrol is searching for the driver of a pickup truck who fatally struck a woman in Kissimmee. The incident occurred on Friday night when the 37-year-old pedestrian was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado. The driver fled the scene but the truck was later found in a nearby parking lot. Florida Highway Patrol is currently seeking the driver of a pickup truck believed to be responsible for the tragic incident that occurred on Friday night. The incident involved a pedestrian, a 37-year-old woman from Kissimmee, who was fatally struck while crossing Poinciana Boulevard near US192. The collision took place at approximately 11:50 pm when a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado traveling southbound collided with the victim. According to the crash report issued by the FHP, it was determined that the woman was not utilizing a designated crosswalk and had been walking in a westward direction, directly in the path of the approaching pickup truck. Tragically, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup truck, however, chose to flee the scene following the collision. Fortunately, the abandoned vehicle was later discovered in a nearby parking lot by the FHP. Presently, the FHP is actively conducting an investigation into the incident, and they are urging anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run to come forward.
