PALM DESERT, CA, (August 09, 2023) – The identity of the individual tragically killed in a hit-and-run incident on Wednesday evening near Country Club and Barrington Drives in Palm Desert has been released by the Riverside County coroner.

Francisco Rojas has been identified as the victim who tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Wednesday night near Country Club and Barrington Drives in Palm Desert, Riverside County.

Unfortunately, 48-year-old Francisco Rojas from Palm Desert succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
According to the Palm Desert Sheriff’s station, a report of a hit-and-run involving a vehicle and a pedestrian was received by the department at approximately 10:16 p.m. Deputies arrived at the location and discovered the victim, Rojas, on the eastbound lanes of Country Club Drive.
No information regarding the identity of the suspect driver or the vehicle involved has been disclosed.
An investigation will be conducted by the Palm Desert Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team.
