An 80-year-old man died in a car crash in New Haven. The crash involved a Mazda 3i that veered onto a sidewalk and collided with a telephone pole. An 80-year-old man tragically lost his life in a car accident in New Haven on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred on Forest Road when a Mazda 3i, driven by Faraz Kelib, veered onto the sidewalk and collided with a telephone pole. The force of the impact caused the vehicle to come to a stop in the front yard of a nearby house. Emergency services were called to the scene and Kelib was rushed to Yale-New Haven Hospital, but sadly, he was pronounced dead later on. New Haven police have activated their Crash Reconstruction Team to thoroughly investigate the incident and analyze the evidence in order to determine the exact cause of the collision. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has any valuable information to contact the police. This investigation will take some time to complete.
