Construction Worker Known as ’50 Cent’ Fatally Stabbed During Altercation in Haslington
Kaieteur News – Tragedy struck in Haslington, East Coast Demerara (ECD), as a 42-year-old construction worker named Eric Fraser, also known as ’50 Cent’, lost his life in a fatal stabbing incident during an argument with another individual.
According to reports, this tragic incident occurred at around 19:30hrs in Haslington North.
Information provided to investigators indicates that Fraser had left his residence at approximately 16:00hrs that day and was socializing with friends at a barbershop in Haslington North.
The police reported that an altercation ensued between Fraser and the suspect, resulting in the suspect drawing a weapon and stabbing Fraser in his left-side groin. It was reported that after being stabbed, Fraser managed to run approximately 200 ft before collapsing. Emergency Medical Technicians from the Melanie Fire Station were called to the scene and transported Fraser to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC), where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
During the examination of his body, authorities observed a single stab wound. Fraser’s body has been transferred to the hospital’s mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination.
An ongoing investigation is being conducted into this tragic incident.
