A motorist in Georgia came across a hitchhiker on the road and decided to offer him a ride. Little did they know that the hitchhiker, identified as Keegan Phillips, was actually a suspect in a murder investigation. The motorist, Russell Jimmerson, and his son picked up Phillips, who was described as having a strong unpleasant odor. Unbeknownst to them, they had just given a ride to an alleged killer. It was later discovered that law enforcement authorities were searching for a murder suspect in the area. Jimmerson received a call informing him of the situation, and he mentioned the foul smell to the caller. Phillips was eventually captured without incident and charged with murder. Another individual, Robert Lee Peppers, was also charged with concealing a death and unlawful disposal of a body in relation to the case. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting a murder investigation, and both Phillips and Peppers have been booked at the Rabun County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing, and once completed, the case will be submitted for prosecution..
