A car crash occurred in Cass County, MI, where the driver fled the scene before being arrested later. The incident took place in Milton Township, and the driver, a 23-year-old Niles resident, was found and identified. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, and the investigation is ongoing. According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, a residence in Cass County, MI, was struck by a car, and the driver fled the scene before being apprehended. The incident occurred at approximately 3:13 a.m. on August 11th in Milton Township, near Redfield Street and Ironwood Drive. Law enforcement arrived after the driver had already left, but they later located and identified a 23-year-old individual from Niles as the driver involved in the crash. The sheriff’s office released a photograph showing a four-door Pontiac that had collided with the house. The driver was subsequently arrested and taken into custody on multiple charges at the Cass County Jail. However, the suspect’s name is being withheld until after the arraignment process. Police suspect that alcohol played a role in the accident and are continuing their investigation. During the incident, Howard Township Fire Department, Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Services, and Cass County K9 Neera provided assistance at the scene.
