The victim, who had boarded the metro from Tughlaqabad station, was waiting at Mandi House station for a friend when she noticed the man masturbating in front of her. She immediately reported the incident to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), responsible for the safety of metro stations.
Although the accused managed to escape by boarding a departing train, the woman’s prompt action led to a swift response from the Delhi police. A case was registered at Pragati Maidan Metro station, and an investigation was initiated. CCTV cameras installed at Mandi House station captured the entire incident, allowing authorities to track Sharma’s movements. They determined that he had disembarked at Nangloi station and located him in the Begumpur area of Delhi.
