A person has died in Utah County following a shooting involving FBI agents in connection with an investigation into alleged threats against President Biden. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning at a residence in Provo while the agents were attempting to serve an arrest and search warrant for a man named Craig Deleeuw Robertson. The FBI raid was confirmed to be related to threats against President Biden, who is currently on a tour of three western states and is scheduled to hold a press conference on Thursday. The investigation began in April and the U.S. Secret Service was notified in June. Robertson had made threatening posts online and had mentioned plans to take physical action. Evidence revealed that he owned a sniper rifle and a ghillie suit. Multiple social media posts made by Robertson were found, containing threats and calls for violence against the president and other officials dating back to September 2022. In addition to the threats against President Biden, Robertson also threatened to travel to New York to kill New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who was overseeing the criminal investigation into former President Donald Trump at the time. The FBI deemed the threats made on social media to be credible. When approached by FBI investigators, Robertson claimed it was his dream and made further threats against the FBI on social media. Following the investigation, Robertson was charged with three felony counts related to interstate threats, threats against the president, and impeding and retaliating against federal law enforcement officers. The shooting incident is currently under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division. Further details are not available due to the ongoing investigation..
