A tragic incident occurred in Detroit, where a woman in her sixties lost her life after being struck by a car on Southfield Freeway at the border of Dearborn and Detroit. According to reports, the 62-year-old woman was dancing on the southbound lanes of the freeway (M-39) near Ford Road on Tuesday afternoon, August 8th. Witnesses observed that the woman was only partially dressed while on the road.

Regrettably, an unidentified vehicle ran over the woman, causing her death, and then fled the scene. Authorities received information that the woman was lying unresponsive in the left lane. As of Tuesday night, Michigan State Police were still in pursuit of the driver responsible for the incident.

It remains unclear why the woman was in the roadway in the first place, as officials have not provided any details. After informing the woman’s family, it was discovered that she had a history of mental illness, although no further information was provided by the police.

The woman’s identity has not been released, except for the fact that she was a 62-year-old resident of Detroit. Following the incident, the freeway was temporarily closed at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday to facilitate an investigation, but it has since been reopened to traffic..
