A 26-year-old man’s death in Halifax has been ruled a homicide. The man was found unresponsive on the Halifax waterfront and was later pronounced dead in the hospital. The victim has been identified as Davelle Rodney Vance Desmond. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact the police. haligonia.ca reported

A homicide ruling has been made in the case of a 26-year-old man who tragically lost his life over the weekend in Halifax.

On August 6, at approximately 9:40 p.m., police were alerted to a disturbance that had taken place on the Halifax waterfront, specifically in the 1500 block of Lower Water Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive man on the boardwalk. The victim was promptly transported to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and confirmed that the cause of death was a homicide. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Davelle Rodney Vance Desmond. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Davelle’s family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
