In September 2022, a 911 caller reported sighting Miller in the 5300 block of Ames Street NE. Officers arrived at the scene and encountered a suspect matching the caller’s description. Miller allegedly fired shots at the officers and fled into a residential building. No officers were harmed during the incident. A manhunt ensued, resulting in the disruption of school activities at nearby campuses.
