A 15-year-old boy was fatally shot in Acworth, GA on August 7th. The victim, identified as Tayshawn Omari Dean, was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at Kennestone Hospital. 22-year-old Lorenz McNeil has been arrested and is facing charges of involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct. ACWORTH – An adolescent aged 15 hailing from Kennesaw met a tragic demise on August 7 at Cobblestone Landing Apartments, located in the 3000 block of Cobb Parkway, as confirmed by the Acworth Police Department.
The police were alerted to a shooting incident at approximately 8:45 p.m. Upon reaching the scene, they discovered an unresponsive teenager. They provided initial medical aid until Metro EMS arrived and transferred the victim to Kennestone Hospital, where he was subsequently declared deceased.
In response, the Criminal Investigations Division promptly arrived at the location and apprehended 22-year-old Lorenz McNeil. Presently, he faces charges of involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct, with his custody being maintained without the option of bail.
The victim has been identified as Tayshawn Omari Dean.
