Disturbingly, it was revealed during his trial that the password to encrypted files on his computer was “I FUK KIDZ.” These despicable acts led to his imprisonment at HMP Wakefield, a notorious British prison housing individuals convicted of heinous crimes such as serial killers, murderers, and pedophiles.
Before his convictions, Watkins was known as the frontman and lyricist of the Welsh alternative metal band Lostprophets. The band achieved commercial success in the UK, with four records reaching the Top 10. However, Watkins’ arrest in June 2012, just two months after the release of their album “Weapons,” marked the end of his musical career. He was convicted and sentenced in December 2013.
In 2019, Watkins faced additional charges when a mobile phone was discovered in his possession. He claimed that he had been coerced by fellow inmates to hold onto the device.
