The driver who died in a crash in Union County, South Carolina has been identified as 61-year-old Charles Jeter III. The crash occurred on July 27th on Highway 9 near Vaughan Road when a Chevy pickup truck attempted to turn left and collided with a Ford pickup truck. Jeter and his passenger were taken to the hospital, but Jeter later died from his injuries. The driver of the Chevy pickup truck has been charged with unlawful passing. WYFF reported

The crash took place on July 27th on Highway Nine near Vaughan Road. According to authorities, a Chevy pickup truck and a Ford pickup truck were both traveling south on Highway Nine. The Chevy attempted to make a left turn onto Vaughan Road and collided with the Ford. Both the driver and passenger of the Ford were transported to the hospital, but the driver sadly succumbed to their injuries on Friday. The deceased driver has been identified as Charles Jeter, aged 61. Troopers have reported that the driver of the Chevy pickup truck has been charged with unlawful passing. The Union County Coroner’s Office conducted an investigation and released the details of the incident..
