A fatal crash occurred in Barren County, Kentucky, resulting in the death of a Tennessee man. A fatal collision occurred in Barren County, Kentucky, resulting in the death of a man from Tennessee. The incident took place on Scottsville Road (US 31-E), close to the intersection with Browning School Road. Kentucky State Police promptly responded to the scene, where it was determined that Chadwick Maxey, a 50-year-old resident of Gallatin, Tenn., was traveling southbound on Scottsville Road. Tragically, Maxey crossed the center dividing line, entering the northbound lane of travel and colliding with a 2001 GMC truck driven by David Crawford, a 50-year-old individual from Lucas.

The collision proved devastating, as Maxey’s vehicle burst into flames upon impact, resulting in his untimely demise. Emergency management officials present at the scene confirmed Maxey’s death. The Barren County Coroner’s Office later declared him deceased. Another individual, Coy Bragg, aged 46 and hailing from Glasgow, was identified as a passenger in Crawford’s vehicle. Both Bragg and Crawford were subsequently airlifted to Tri-Star Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for medical attention.
