Three people were killed and one person was injured in a train-car collision in Gervais, Oregon. The driver of the car failed to obey a traffic control device near the railroad tracks. According to law enforcement officials, a tragic incident occurred in Gervais, Oregon, where a Union Pacific freight train collided with a car, resulting in three fatalities and one person sustaining injuries. The collision took place in the evening when a 2002 Honda attempted to cross the railroad tracks while traveling west on a farm access road. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office stated that the driver failed to adhere to a traffic control device near the tracks. The individuals who lost their lives in the incident have been identified as Catarino Hernandez Guzman, aged 31; Francisco Lopez, aged 33; and Jesus Carrera Avendano, aged 22. A 26-year-old passenger, Anselmo Caballero Herrera, was airlifted to a hospital. The sheriff’s office confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the crash..
