A 43-year-old man from New Richmond, Wisconsin, died in a scooter crash on Old Mill Road in Star Prairie Township. A fatal accident occurred early Friday morning in Star Prairie Township, Wisconsin, resulting in the death of a New Richmond resident. The incident, which took place at approximately 2:15 a.m. on Old Mill Road, involved a scooter that crashed. Upon arriving at the scene, the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office discovered an injured man lying on the road next to the scooter. Despite receiving immediate medical attention from first responders, the victim, identified as 43-year-old Gordon Thompson, succumbed to his critical injuries and was pronounced dead. It is worth noting that Thompson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The sheriff’s office is currently conducting an investigation into the crash.
