A motorcyclist was fatally injured in a collision with a car on Route 111 in Salem. The motorcycle was traveling east when it was hit by a Volvo turning left onto Route 111 from Ermer Road. The victim has been identified as Terry Ware, 65, of Newton. The driver of the car was unhurt and is cooperating with the investigation. Route 111 was closed for several hours following the crash. The fatal crash occurred on Route 111, specifically near Erma Road, at approximately 12:10 p.m. The motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Route 111 when a Volvo, attempting to make a left turn from Erma Road to head west on Route 111, struck the motorcycle. Sadly, the collision proved fatal for the motorcyclist. The victim has been identified as Terry Ware, a 65-year-old resident of Newton. Fortunately, the driver of the car escaped unharmed, and authorities report that they have been cooperative throughout the investigation process. Following the accident, Route 111 had to be closed for several hours.
