Rescue workers, with the help of a nearby resident, managed to prevent him from jumping. He was then taken to the hospital for evaluation and care. Pattaya, Thailand – In a highly dramatic incident, a 60-year-old German man named Heinz Edgar Eugen attempted to end his own life by climbing off the balcony of a condominium on the eighth floor of The Orient Resort & Spa Condominium in Soi Wat Boonkanjanaram, Jomtien.

A team of rescue workers spent several hours trying to calm the distressed man, using translators to communicate with him. The man, dressed only in black underwear, stood perilously on the ledge outside the building. Inflatable cushions were strategically placed on the ground floor as a safety precaution.

The man’s spouse revealed that Mr. Heinz was dealing with legal issues in his home country and had been consuming significant amounts of marijuana and alcohol, which had negatively affected his mental state.

While the rescue workers worked to distract the suicidal man, a foreign resident in a nearby room quietly opened his window and managed to grab hold of Heinz just before he could jump. With the assistance of the rescue workers, Heinz was successfully pulled back inside, ensuring his safety. He was immediately taken to Banglamung Hospital for medical evaluation and care.
