Three teenagers were killed in a fatal crash in Lakeland, Florida. The teens were traveling at a high speed when their Nissan crashed into a Lincoln pick-up truck. Both vehicles spun around and slid in an eastbound direction. The Nissan came to rest in the entrance/exit of a plaza, while the Lincoln hit a Toyota Corolla. Three teenagers lost their lives in a vehicle collision on Wednesday night in Lakeland, Florida. The Lakeland Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into the fatal crash. The incident occurred when the teenagers were traveling at a high speed on US 98 North, while a Lincoln pickup truck was heading in the opposite direction. The collision happened when the driver of the truck attempted to make a left turn into a plaza on the east side of the road, and the Nissan crashed into it. Both vehicles spun around and slid in an eastbound direction after impact. The Nissan came to a stop at the entrance/exit of the plaza, while the Lincoln collided with a Toyota Corolla that was exiting the plaza. Unfortunately, the three teenagers in the Nissan, a 16-year-old female driver, a 16-year-old male, and a 19-year-old male, were found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was extricated from the car and taken to Lakeland Regional Health, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the Lincoln and the Corolla were uninjured.
