Knoxville police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred on Wednesday night. The victim, 22-year-old Joseph Norris, was shot multiple times and later died at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The suspect, 18-year-old Logan Norris, is believed to have shot his brother following a domestic altercation. The Knoxville Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a fatal shooting that took place on Wednesday night. At approximately 11:15 p.m., officers from the KPD responded to a report of gunshots in the 2600 block of Copeland Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim, identified as 22-year-old Joseph Norris, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of the officers to provide medical assistance, Norris was pronounced dead after being transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The suspect in the case, 18-year-old Logan Norris, was also taken to the medical center for evaluation of injuries he reportedly sustained during an altercation that occurred inside the residence. Based on their investigation, the KPD believes that Logan shot his brother Joseph following a physical altercation that originated within the home. Once Logan is released from the medical center, he will be charged with second-degree murder according to officials..
