Cobb is facing charges of murder, felonious assault, and possession of weapons while under disability. The incident occurred on July 22 when the victim, Garylon Russell, was attempting to repossess a vehicle at an apartment complex. Cobb confronted Russell and shot him multiple times before fleeing on foot. Despite being taken to the hospital, Russell was pronounced dead upon arrival. A witness reported hearing a crash and seeing Russell inside a vehicle that had collided with a neighbor’s truck. The witness also mentioned that Russell was repossessing a vehicle when he was shot. Cobb is currently held in the Montgomery County Jail with a bond set at $1 million and is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday..
