A police officer in Montevideo, Minnesota was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash. The collision occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 7 and Hwy. 29. The officer’s squad car was traveling east on Hwy. 7 when it collided with an SUV in the southbound lane of Hwy. 29. A police officer from western Minnesota was hospitalized after being involved in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon. The collision occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 7 and Hwy. 29 in Montevideo, and the State Patrol responded to the scene. According to the state crash report, the officer’s squad car was heading east on Hwy. 7 while an SUV was traveling southbound on Hwy. 29 when the two vehicles collided. The officer, identified as 29-year-old Dustin David Hissam, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV, 28-year-old Danielle Catherine Bailey, was uninjured. Both individuals were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor in the crash..
