The Baton Rouge Police Department has announced that it will be conducting a press conference on Thursday, August 3rd, to address a fatal incident involving one of their officers. This incident took place a few weeks ago, and the press conference is scheduled to commence at 11 a.m.

The shooting occurred at an apartment complex located on College Drive near Holloway Avenue on the evening of July 21st. According to the authorities, the suspect involved, identified as 23-year-old Dantonior Stalling, was shot by the police after allegedly disregarding their verbal commands and brandishing a handgun towards them.

Law enforcement was summoned to the scene at approximately 9:30 p.m. following reports that Stalling had shot an individual named Dyshon Williams, 18, as part of a custody dispute. Both Stalling and Williams were subsequently transported to the hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.
