QUETTA: A devastating head-on collision between a pick-up and a passenger coach near the Rakhani area in Barkhan district on Tuesday has resulted in the death of six people and left ten others injured. The tragic incident occurred at the Rarasham area on the Loralai-Dera Ghazi Khan road.
According to authorities, the pick-up was en route from Rakhani to Loralai when it collided with the passenger coach at a blind turn, causing the pick-up to overturn. All six individuals who lost their lives were passengers in the pick-up, while the ten injured were traveling to Lahore in the coach.
Swiftly responding to the scene, the police promptly transported the injured to Rakhani hospital for immediate medical attention. The deceased victims have been identified as Shahzed, Muhammad Kashif, Mujeeb Ahmed, Tabish, Asmatullah, and Muhammad Akram. Following medico-legal procedures, their bodies were handed over to their grieving families.
This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of cautious driving and adhering to traffic rules. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the collision and hold any responsible parties accountable.
