HUNTLEY, IL – A tragic three-vehicle collision on July 29 claimed the life of a Chicago motorcyclist in unincorporated Huntley, according to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. Daniel Ordoqui, 41, lost his life in the crash.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Route 47 and Conley Road. Reports indicate that a 2008 Mini Cooper was southbound on Route 47 and had come to a stop at a stop sign. At approximately 9:30 a.m., a 2015 Subaru Forester traveling southbound collided with the rear of the Mini. The impact caused the Mini to spin out of control and collide with a 1997 Kawasaki VN800 motorcycle, ejecting its rider.
Sadly, Daniel Ordoqui, the motorcyclist, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 17-year-old driver of the Mini and the 71-year-old driver of the Subaru were both transported to Northwestern Hospital in Huntley with minor injuries.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Major Traffic Crash Investigation Unit and the McHenry County Coroner’s Office are currently investigating the accident.
