The man responsible for a car crash that resulted in the death of actor Treat Williams has been charged, almost two months after the tragic incident. Ryan Koss, the driver involved in the collision, has been charged with “grossly negligent operation with death,” according to a press release from the Vermont State Police.

The accident occurred when Koss’s vehicle turned into the path of Williams’ motorcycle, causing critical injuries that led to his death at a nearby hospital. The medical examiner determined that Williams suffered severe trauma and blood loss as a result of the crash.
After voluntarily meeting with authorities, Koss was processed on the charge and released. He is set to appear for arraignment on September 25.
Treat Williams, known for his role in the TV series “Everwood,” passed away on June 12 at the age of 71. In a statement issued by his family, they expressed their deep love and respect for him and requested privacy to cope with their grief.
