One suspect has been arrested in connection to an assault in Lansing, Michigan. Lansing Township Police responded to the scene and determined that three suspects and one victim were involved, with no gunshot injuries reported. Two suspects fled on foot, while a 44-year-old male suspect was apprehended. The victim was beaten and robbed over a debt, with one suspect firing a gun into the ground. Assault Suspect Arrested in Lansing, Michigan

One of the three suspects involved in an assault was apprehended by Lansing Township Police on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred in the 3326 block of W Michigan Ave, which is located within close proximity to the Lansing Township Police Department.

Previous Incident and Current Investigation

Earlier, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the same location. However, upon arrival, it was determined that no one had been shot. Instead, it was revealed that three suspects and one victim were involved in an altercation.

Two of the suspects managed to flee on foot, while the third suspect, a 44-year-old male, was successfully arrested. The identities of the two fleeing suspects were partially disclosed, with one being a 35-year-old male. All three suspects and the victim are residents of Lansing.

Violent Assault and Recovery of Evidence

The victim reported being beaten and robbed by the suspects due to an undisclosed debt. During the incident, one of the suspects discharged a firearm into the ground near the victim. The victim also mentioned that one suspect was armed with brass knuckles, while another carried a metal pipe.

Police located a firearm matching the description provided by the victim at the scene. Additionally, a vehicle used by the suspects was impounded, and two Pit Bull dogs found inside the car were recovered by Ingham County Animal Control.

Legal Action and Contact Information

The arrested suspect is currently held in the Ingham County Jail. Lansing Township Detective Randy Volosky intends to seek an Assault with Intent to Murder charge from the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office.
