A 22-year-old woman identified as Skylar Christensen was killed in a late-night crash on I-25 near Woodman Road in Colorado Springs. The incident occurred on July 22 and no arrests have been made. The Colorado Springs Police Department stated that neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the crash. This marks the 26th fatal crash in Colorado Springs this year, the same number as in 2022. Tragic Incident: Pedestrian Fatally Struck on I-25 near Woodman Road

Colorado Springs, CO – In a devastating late-night accident on Saturday, July 22, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Interstate 25 near Woodman Road. The victim has been identified as Skylar Christensen, a 22-year-old woman, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

An autopsy conducted by the El Paso County Coroner on July 24 confirmed the identity of the deceased pedestrian. CSPD has stated that no arrests have been made in connection to the incident, and speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors.

The crash occurred shortly before midnight when authorities received reports of a collision involving a pedestrian on southbound I-25, just north of the Woodman Road exit.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered Skylar Christensen suffering from serious, life-threatening injuries. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where she tragically succumbed to her injuries.

This unfortunate incident marks the 26th fatal crash in Colorado Springs this year. Notably, the number of fatalities at this time in 2022 was also 26.
