A man from Chicago, Myron Bowie, has been charged with attempted murder for setting his girlfriend on fire in Salem Lakes, Wisconsin. The victim suffered severe burns and was in critical condition. Four children in the home witnessed the incident and heard their mother screaming. Bowie remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. A man from Chicago has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly setting his girlfriend on fire at a home in Salem Lakes, Wisconsin. Myron Bowie, 36, was charged with one felony count of attempted first-degree intentional homicide (domestic abuse) on Monday. He is currently at large, and an arrest warrant has been issued for him. The incident occurred on Sunday, July 30, when Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a home in Salem Lakes. According to a criminal complaint, the victim stated that Bowie threw something on her and set her on fire while she was lying in bed. The victim also mentioned that Bowie had thrown alcohol on her during a previous fight and had burned her in the past. She suffered severe burns to her head, face, and upper arms, and was in critical condition with 13% of her body surface covered in second or third-degree burns. There were four children in the home at the time of the incident, who witnessed their mother’s injuries and saw Bowie leaving the scene. If convicted, Bowie faces up to 60 years in prison. The authorities have issued a warrant for his arrest and consider him armed and dangerous.
