FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno Police Department has identified the 66-year-old woman who tragically lost her life in a fiery crash and car shooting incident. Mary Lou Flores was the driver of a sedan involved in a collision with a small SUV on North Brawley Avenue in Fresno.

Officers were initially responding to a call regarding a shooting victim at a Walmart parking lot on Shaw Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered a 24-year-old man inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was promptly transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

The sedan driven by Flores contained five adult occupants, including herself. Sadly, Flores sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. The other individuals in the sedan were also taken to a local hospital, where they received treatment for moderate injuries.

The SUV involved in the collision fled the scene before authorities arrived and is currently at large.
