Investigation Underway for Deadly Single-Vehicle Crash in Stilesville

The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred on Monday morning in Stilesville, Indiana. The tragic incident resulted in the death of a 17-year-old male.

Authorities were alerted to the scene on U.S. 40 near County Road 300 West at approximately 6:20 a.m. when the crash was reported to the Hendricks County Communications Center.

According to the preliminary investigation, a Saturn car was traveling eastbound on U.S. 40 when it veered off the road for unknown reasons and collided with a tree.

Tragically, the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The authorities have confirmed that drugs and alcohol are not believed to have played a role in the deadly crash.

Out of respect for the family, the identity of the driver is being withheld until proper notification has been made.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
