Two dead and One Missing in Lake Lanier Tragedies

Authorities have confirmed two fatalities and are searching for a missing person in a series of incidents that occurred at Lake Lanier in Georgia over the past week. Hall County officials have reported that a 27-year-old man went missing on Saturday while swimming at Van Pugh Park and hasn’t resurfaced since.

In another incident on Thursday, a 24-year-old man named Thomas Milner was electrocuted when he jumped off a dock into the lake near Lanier Beach South Road in Forsyth County. Despite efforts by a family friend and neighbors, Milner couldn’t be saved. He was rushed to Northside Forsyth Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Tracy Stewart, who was swimming near East Bank Park on Saturday, also failed to resurface. Her body was eventually recovered in 46 feet of water with the assistance of sonar technology.

It’s important to note that the three incidents are unrelated, according to officials. The investigation into these tragedies is ongoing, and authorities have not released the identity of the missing 27-year-old man.
