Mohave County Detectives Investigating Possible Homicide in Meadview
Detectives from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office are currently conducting an investigation into a possible homicide that occurred on Friday in Meadview.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a reported car crash at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Friday. The incident took place in the area of Driftwood Drive and Boathouse Drive, involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and a go-kart.
The operator of the ATV, Sally Minard, 32, sustained severe injuries and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, Minard succumbed to her injuries. Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office have initiated an investigation into the incident.
John Stettler, 40, the operator of the go-kart, was identified as the other party involved in the crash. As the investigation progressed, officials determined that the collision was not accidental but a deliberate criminal act. Additionally, they discovered a prior relationship between Minard and Stettler.
Stettler has been taken into custody on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with domestic violence. The investigation is ongoing, with detectives working diligently to gather evidence and determine the full circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
