The incident occurred when a wrong-way driver was reported heading north in the southbound lanes of U.S. 151 near County Y in Lamartine Township, according to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon receiving the report, deputies from the sheriff’s office immediately responded to the area, activating their emergency lights and sirens in an attempt to intercept the vehicle. However, before they could reach the scene, the wrong-way driver collided head-on with a southbound vehicle.
