ANDERSON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) — The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported a fatal accident in Anderson during the early hours of the morning, resulting in the death of two individuals.
The incident occurred around 3:40 a.m., when a vehicle traveling west on U.S. 76 veered off the right side of the road, colliding with a telephone pole and a gas line before overturning.
Authorities have identified the victims as Christopher Denate Woods, a 27-year-old resident of West Columbia, and Michaela Christensen, a 29-year-old resident of Anderson.
According to the coroner, Woods was the driver of the vehicle, while Christensen was seated in the front passenger seat.
