Authorities in Ivanhoe, California, have apprehended a suspect and charged him with murder in connection with a fatal shooting incident.
According to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement officers responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of Avenue 327 and Road 158 on Monday evening.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered a male victim, identified as 34-year-old Antonio Tapia Jr., lying on the road with multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, Tapia Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
After conducting an extensive investigation, the sheriff’s office identified the alleged perpetrator as 23-year-old Ismar Ambriz. Ambriz was subsequently arrested and is currently being held at the Tulare County Jail, facing a charge of murder.
