The other two men were identified as Tanner J. Kaltenberg, 19, from Madison, Wisconsin, and Merax C. Dockery, 23, from Pottawatomie, Oklahoma. These three men were stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina, just 29 miles away from where their bodies were discovered.

All three men were Marine lance corporals working as motor vehicle operators at the camp. The Pender County Sheriff’s Office responded to a missing-person call and stumbled upon the tragic scene.
