A 17-year-old and his mother were killed in a crash with a train in Wilcox County, Georgia. The collision occurred when the driver crossed a marked railroad crossing with activated safety arms and flashing lights. The car was struck on the passenger’s side by a CSX freightliner, resulting in the deaths of the two occupants. The victims were identified as Dallas Corbin Dozier, 17, and Brandy Elizabeth Drinnon, 34. The crash remains under investigation. Wilcox County is located about 150 miles southeast of Atlanta. A tragic accident in Wilcox County, Georgia, claimed the lives of a 17-year-old teenager and his mother after their car was hit by a train. The incident occurred on State Route 159, and according to Georgia State Patrol, the Kia Optima they were traveling in crossed a marked railroad crossing with its safety arms activated and lowered.

Despite the red flashing lights being active and illuminated, the driver of the car steered around the safety arms and onto the tracks, where they were struck by a CSX freightliner. The impact was on the passenger’s side of the vehicle, resulting in the deaths of both individuals.

The victims were identified as Dallas Corbin Dozier, a student at Hawkinsville High School, and his mother, Brandy Elizabeth Drinnon. Dozier was driving at the time of the crash. Dozier was described as a well-mannered young man who enjoyed gaming, while Drinnon was a self-employed tattoo artist who loved drawing, music, fishing, and spending time at the beach with her family.

The community mourned their loss, with Dozier’s memorial service held on July 23, and Drinnon’s scheduled for July 25. The crash remains under investigation.
