A Reidsville man wanted for a shooting death in Tattnall County has been apprehended. Chase Craft, 20, was arrested at The Garden District apartment complex in Statesboro by members of the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force. Craft is facing charges of felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He is currently held at the Tattnall County jail.
The incident occurred on June 29 when the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in Reidsville following a shooting. Travis Ron Arnold, 35, was found shot and later died at the scene. It was determined that Craft and Arnold had gotten into a fight, during which Craft shot Arnold and fled.

The investigation is still ongoing, and once complete, the case file will be handed over to the Atlantic Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation expressed their gratitude to various law enforcement agencies for their assistance in locating and apprehending Craft, including the Marshals Service, Georgia State Patrol, Statesboro Police Department, Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office.
