A tragic car accident in Waterbury, Connecticut, claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl and left five others injured. The incident occurred at around 2:21 a.m. on Friday morning at the intersection of East Main Street and Baldwin Street.

According to the police, the 14-year-old girl was in a stolen Hyundai Sonata with three other teenagers when it collided with a Ford Escape. The impact of the crash caused the girl to be ejected from the vehicle, and she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a local hospital.

Two other teenagers in the stolen car, a 15-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy, were also hospitalized for injuries that were not life-threatening. However, another 15-year-old boy is currently in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. In the Ford Escape, the driver, a 38-year-old man, and the passenger, an 18-year-old boy, were also injured and taken to the hospital.

The Waterbury Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the incident. It was revealed that the Hyundai Sonata had been stolen earlier that morning before the crash occurred.
