Fairborn City Schools in Ohio will be hosting a relay night to honor Lily Clinger, a high school student who tragically lost her life in a car accident last year. The event, titled “Relay Night for Lily Clinger,” will take place at the Fairmont High School track in Kettering.
Lily Clinger, a 17-year-old student at Fairborn High School, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on December 16 on Dayton-Xenia Road and Trebein Road. Her family expressed their wishes to have a tree or rock with a plaque placed in the park where the Fairborn Skyhawks train, as a way to remember Lily.
The relay night aims to bring the community together to celebrate Lily’s life and raise awareness about the importance of safe driving. The event is open to the public, and gates will open at 6 p.m., with the relay starting at 7 p.m.
