Police in North Carolina are searching for a murder suspect who also shot a woman multiple times. Forest City police released a photo of the vehicle that the suspect used to escape after shooting a man in the front yard of his home on Harmon Street, in Rutherford County, on July 13. The woman, identified as Haley Elizabeth Davis of Forest City, was also wounded in the incident. She was airlifted to Spartanburg Regional Hospital and is expected to recover from her injuries.

Investigators have linked this homicide to another incident, where shots were fired at a home on Chase High Road, on July 12. Fortunately, no one was home at the time, and there were no injuries. The following day, Brandon Gerard Holland was killed in the shooting on Harmon Street. The gunman, dressed in dark clothing, arrived on foot and fled towards Hill Street. It is believed that the suspect left the neighborhood in a gray four-door Ford Fusion.

The Forest City Police Department is actively pursuing leads and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect or suspects involved in both shooting incidents. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective D. Radford with the Forest City Police Department, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s office, or Rutherford County Communications. Information can also be provided through the Forest City Police mobile app or by calling Rutherford County Crime Stoppers.

The release of the suspect’s vehicle photo is a significant development in the investigation, as it may help generate leads and potentially lead to the apprehension of the suspect. The police are committed to ensuring the safety of the community and bringing those responsible for these violent acts to justice. The public’s cooperation and support are crucial in solving these cases..
